It is quite amazing that Mercedes Benz introduced the 300SL Gullwing with a mechanical fuel injection pump in December 1954! (https://www.bosch.com/stories/bosch-brings-gasoline-injection-to-cars/)
There followed an enormous range of Mercedes cars to be fitted with ever evolving mechanical fuel injection systems. Other marques quickly followed the trend to provide extra power to various models they were marketing. These included Aston Martin, BMW, Ford, Lancia, Peugeot & Porsche.
So many years latter these pumps are requiring refreshing.
We completely strip, clean and inspect every part of the pump. Recondition and replace parts as necessary and then set them up on our MFI test bench and calibrate them back to OEM specifications.
